  1. Do my measurements need to be accurate?

  2. Yes your measurements do need to be exact within a 1/16 of an inch. If you are unsure, we can send one of experts out to your location and help you measure and give you ideas at the same time, and it's even free of charge.

  3. How do I determine what type of basket system I need?

  4. The most important things when considering a basket system are the height and width of the system. Allow for the appropriate basket system height and width when installing shelf towers or stacks.

  5. What tools do I need to install the shelving?

  6. A level, hammer, drill with a ¼ " bit, a tape measure, pencil, screwdriver, flat and # 2 robertson, studfinder if you have one.

  7. How far apart should I space the backclips?

  8. Space them every 12 inches starting 2-3 inches from the sidewall. If you have an open end, then place a backclip minimum of 2 inches from the open end.

  9. Do I have to hit a stud?

  10. Hitting a stud is not necessary because the backclips and wall end brackets are designed to be used in ½" drywall. If you do hit a stud, drill a ¼" hole into the stud, then insert backclip flush to the wall and hammer in normally. It will be tight. for a wall bracket if you hit a stud, you need to remove the existing anchors and use screws to attach the wall bracket to the wall. We also want you to hit a stud (if possible) when installing the support braces.

  11. How far apart should the support braces be placed?

  12. Place one brace every 42" and one on each open end unless using a support pole. A support pole needs to have a minimum of two shelves attached to it.

  13. Does the same hardware work for all of the shelves?

  14. The backclips will work will all types of shelves. The support braces have different sizes 9", 12" and 16" depending on the shelf, The wall brackets and joiner plates work on all types of shelves except for freeslide shelving which has a special wall bracket, Jointer plate system and rod spacer cap.
